11-13: Chapman State Park Programming, Chapman State Park, Clarendon, PA 16313. June 11: FISH PRINTS- 4:30 PM - 6 PM. Learn the basic anatomy of a fish and make a really unique piece of art to take home. Feel free to bring a blank t-shirt and print it with a one-of-a-kind fish design. This program is for ages 4-12. Meet at the Environmental Learning Center. 8:30 PM - 10 PM. Meet at the Amphitheater for a short program about bees, followed by a movie about their facsinating lives. In case of rain, meet at Pavilion #4. June 12: CHAPMAN CANOE TOUR, 1 PM - 3 PM. Come to the mooring area by the warming hut for a short lesson on basic boating safety and then take a canoe tour on the lake and West Branch of the Tionesta Creek. We will learn about the plants and animals of Chapman, as well as history of the area. Pre-registration is REQUIRED as canoes are limited. Come learn the basics of backpacking and how to be friendly to the environment while you're out having fun in the woods. 12-13: "Soaring Down the Allegheny" 2010 Allegheny river Sojourn, The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy will be hosting a return trip to the Allegheny River for their annual sojourn.  Participants will travel the wild and scenic river by canoe from the Warren, PA to Indian Waters Livery located a few miles north of Tidioute, PA.  The trip will include activities and presentations that are centered on the theme "Soaring Down the Allegheny".  To register for the sojourn or more information, go to

27: Cherry Grove Old Home & Community Day, located in southern Warren County, in the Pennsylvania Wilds, the hilltop settlement of Cherry Grove saw national history in the spring and summer of 1882 when the 646 Mystery Well ushered in a great oil boom. The boom went bust, but those who remained kept the memory of the oil excitement alive with "Old Home Day" reunions. In 1982, a group of Old Home Day regulars volunteered to build a life-size replica of the historic 646 Mystery Well. The Mystery Well replica will be open for tours after a tureen lunch. 27: Chapman State Park Programming, Chapman State Park, Clarendon, PA 16313. 3 PM - 5:30 PM. 11 AM. Family Fishing Program. The PA Fish and Boat Commission invites you to spend the afternoon with your family fishing at Chapman State Park. The program offers basics on how to rig a fishing rod, types of bait, knot tying, rules and regulations, casting practice, hands on fishing and basics on being a S.M.A.R.T. angler. Fishing licenses are NOT required during the program; however they are required for for anyone over 16 years old if they want to fish after the program ends. All equipment and handout materials will be supplied. Items you may wish to bring are sunscreen, bug spray, water, weather appropriate clothing, lunch/snack and your camera.
