1st: Pine Grove Community Meeting at 6:30pm at the Russell United Methodist Church. 2nd: Open read at Authors Books & Music from 6-8pm. 4th: There will be an author visit in the Slater Room at the Warren Public Library. The author will be Micha Archer, author/illustrator of the 2017 Pennsylvania One Book, Every Young Child title Daniel Finds a Poem and will visit with children, parents and teachers to discuss her book. Preregistration is appreciated. 4th-7th: Warren Players Presents Godspell. 4th-6th is 7pm and 7th is 2pm. Adults will be $14 while seniors and students are $12. All wagers are $2 minimum. Doors open at 6pm and you must be at least 21 years of age to attend. 5th-7th: Miracle Mountain Ranch “Father-Daughter Retreat”. Cost is $115. For more info, click here 6th: Regular racing (make up races for Sportsman and Challenger) at Stateline Speedway. 6th:The University of Pittsburgh at Bradford invites you to the grand opening of the Marilyn Horne Museum and Exhibit Center in Bradford at 2pm. A free recital by soprano Julie Davies and bass DeAndre Simmons will be held at 5 p.m. in Bromeley Family Theater in Blaisdell Hall on the Pitt-Bradford campus followed by light refreshments. For more info, click here. 6th: Allegheny Center for the Arts is having a Landscape Oil Painting Class from 1pm- 4pm. If you attend, you will complete an 11X14 landscape in oils with step-by-step instruction. 6th: Scavenger Hunt On Horseback at the Flying W Ranch 10am-4pm. Bring you own horse and join the 4 hour marked ride by yourself or with a group of friends! Registration will be between 10am and 11am. 7th: Kids Fishing Derby on Tollgate Road, Sheffield 10am to 2pm. Hot dogs and pop will be provided. This event is sponsored by the Sheffield Rod & Gun. 8th&15th: Photography with Karen Heltzel from 6-9pm at the Warren Hi-Ed. The cost of this class is $69 and is a basic photography course for beginners. To register, click here 11th: Retirement Preparation! With Dave Close and John Palmeiri from Freedom Investments. This event is from 5:30pm-7:30pm at Warren Hi-Ed and is free. 11th: The Warren County Visitors Bureau will be holding a board meeting that is open to the public at 6pm. 12th: Senator Scott Hutchinson & Representative Kathy Rapp will be at Eggs and Issues Presentation at the Conewango Club 12th-13th: The Scandia Chainsaw Carve 2017 will be at Red Oak Campground in Scandia. 12th-14th: Miracle Mountain Ranch “Spring Horse Lover’s”. This event is perfect for you if you are looking for a weekend gain more horsemanship skills, whether you are a beginner or a seasoned horseman. For the cost, click here 13th: Mother’s Day Special $5 off for all mothers at Stateline Speedway. 13th: Yankee Bush Productions presents Warren 7 Bridges Tribute to The Eagles at the Struthers Library Theatre where many Eagles hits will be played. Single tickets are $20 each. 6 tickets are $99 and 10 tickets are $149. You can purchase tickets at the Library Theatre Box Office or at Virg-Ann Flower Shop. 13th: Garland Gala at the Garland Firehall from 1pm-5pm. Cost is $10 presale and $12 at the door. You must be 21 or older to purchase a ticket and you must have a valid id. 17th: 2nd Annual Warren County Job Fair presented by WCCBI & Quickstaff Contingent Workforce Solutions from 12pm-7pm at Warren PA Days Inn. Dress to impress and be ready to interview because employers with open positions will be in attendance. Admission is free. This event is an online fundraiser that involves 16 hours of online giving with goals to raise awareness and appreciation for Warren County non- profits and to encourage new giving. There will be tens of thousands of dollars for match money. This years match sponsors are the Community Foundation, the Betts Foundation, Blair Corporation, The DeFrees Family Memorial Fund, the Northwest Charitable Trust, the Sara Sokolski Family Fund and United Refining Company. 100% of the donations and match money go straight to the organizations. 20th: Branson On the Road will be playing at Struthers Library Theatre starting at 8pm. Ticket prices are $24 - $21 - $18. This benefit is a chicken and biscuit benefit. 20th: Bill Law Memorial RUSH Crate Late Model Touring Series Race at Stateline Speedway. 20th-21st: DAV Chapter 75 Walleye Tournament at The Shack at Corydon (formally the Corydon Hotel). Prize of $1,000. The entry fee per team per event is $225 and can be paid online at www.davwalleye.com. 23rd: Northwest PA 7 County Military/Veteran Expo from 2-6pm. You must stay until 6pm. You will get to meet with veterans, military, and service members and their families in our area and share how your organization can help! This event will be at the Cross Creek Resort. 26th-28th: Miracle Mountain Ranch “Father-Son Canoe Trip”. The cost is $130 and will take place on the Allegheny River. For more info, click here 27th: Memorial Day 32 Lap Super Late Model Special *All military past and present enjoy free admission w/proper ID. 29th: Miracle Mountain Ranch “Ranch Run 5K & Trail Run”. This event is a walk/run event with a scenic course. The 4.6 mile Trail Run is a separate course and will have rough trails, water, mud, fields, and hills. Registration for both events is from 7:30- 8:30am. Start time is 9am. The cost is $15 before May 11th and $20 after May 11th. For more info, click here 29th: Miracle Mountain Ranch is having a Memorial Day Open House. Doors open at 9:30am and festivities wrap up at 5pm. There will be trail rides ($8), a demonstration of their vaulting team, a Memorial Day service, a Message from the Mount, and much more! No registration is required.
