24th: Explore the Woodlands Hike- 3:00pm, Chapman State Park - Meet at the park office and join the naturalist for a hike (2.3 miles). We will find out how many of the flora and fauna we can identify. This is a moderate to strenuous hike and is not recommended for the very young or elderly. Contact 814-723-0250 for more information.
24th: Chapman 101 -7:30 to 9:00pm, Chapman State Park - Meet at the amphitheater to welcome the new naturalist and share tales of your outdoor adventures at Chapman State Park. We will discover popular activities and wildlife and plants during an interactive slide show. A campfire and marshmallow roast at the campground host site will follow the program (~8:30pm). 24th: Canine Wellness Expo with the American Red Cross - Located at Betts Park in Warren, PA from 9am-5pm. The Warren County Board of Realtors is sponsoring this benefit for Warren County Chapter. This exhibition for will host Veterinarians, Groomers, Boarders, Breeders and Retail Pet Suppliers. Discounted Pet First Aid and Sheltering Classes will be offered with pre-registration. $2 admission will allow attendees to receive pet services and product samples, along with door prizes and raffles throughout the day. 25th: Night Hike - 8:30 to 9:30pm, Chapman State Park - Meet the naturalist at the campground's extra car parking lot. Learn to use all your senses as we search for wildlife that comes out when the sun goes down. We will hike the Nature Trail (1.0 to 1.8 miles) and finish up by listening for horned owls near the Chapman Lake dam. Bring along a flashlight but don't expect to use it much!
