Salute To Our Veterans

Veteran's Day pays tribute to all American veterans (living or dead), but especially gives thanks to living veterans who served their country honorably during war or peacetime. It is so important to honor your veterans, veterans fought for our freedom and risked their lives. Without the service of our great veterans we wouldn't have the freedom we have today. Since our nation was founded, veterans have defended it.

Some great facts to know, Veteran's Day was established in 1954. Congress had passed the bill that president Eisenhower signed proclaiming November 11th as Veteran's Day. Another fact to know is, there were around 21.8 million veterans in the United States as of 2010. A third fact to know, there are around 9 million veterans over the age of 65. Lastly, around 1.6 million veterans are women. If you see a veteran, especially on November 11th make sure to thank him or her for their service for serving our country!
