Fall Foliage Road Trips
Allegheny Springs
Named for the former Sulphur springs resort on Allegheny Springs Road. Though the 1800s mecca is long-gone, you can still catch a whiff of Sulphur if the wind catches it right. Drive particularly carefully on this loop as the roads can be steep and winding, but, my goodness, they're beautiful. The little town of Spring Creek is known as the birthplace of Supreme Court Justice Robert H. Jackson, chief prosecutor of the Nuremburg Trials.

Along & Above the Allegheny
Take scenic Route 62 with the Allegheny River on one side and the Allegheny National Forest on the other. A stop in the charming town of Tidioute is a must!

Amish Country
Sugar Grove and Lander areas are where you will find the most concentrated number of Amish farms. The rolling hills and winding roads reveal view after view. Sugar Grove is also rich in Underground Railroad history.

Chapman's Loop
An autumn trip to Warren County would be incomplete without a stop at Chapman State Park known for it's spillway, lake, trails, camping, and wildlife. Mohawk Avenue provides amazing views of the city of Warren from the south side. Please drive cautiously as it is winding and fast.

Hilltops to Creekside
Whether you start along the Conewango Creek, on the hilltops of Scandia, or anywhere in between, you will find a wide array of scenery. Fox Hill is a view you will never forget with a vista view over mountains and down the steep road between horse farms.

Oil Country
Warren County is home to the 2nd oil well and the 1st free-flowing oil well in the world. The oil industry is still important in Warren County's economy. Along this loop, you will drive by the "Mystery Well," a replica of the well by that name that created a big oil boom in Cherry Grove. (It sits behind the Cherry Grove VFD.) This loop also takes you into Sheffield where an authentic 1800s train depot remains.

Panoramas
A stop at Washington Park overlooking the city of Warren is reason enough to take this loop. When you add the views from the top of hills like Logan Road and Valentine Run, it's an overlook dream. This loop also includes a charming, original one-room schoolhouse as well as an authentic 1800s train station turned restaurant.

Pretty Pastures & Hidden Paths
Take to the hills of horse country, drive the back roads of tucked away camps, and finish with a meal and ice cream cone in Youngsville.

Sprawling Farmlands*
Enjoy a leisurely drive through the rolling farmlands of Spring Creek & Pittsfield.

IMPORTANT! A bridge on this route is scheduled for replacement, and Route 426 will be closed for approx. 2 weeks beginning September 16. Plan accordingly!
Sunday Drive
The name "Sunday Drive" was chosen because it evokes memories from childhood when your family piled in the car and went for a meandering drive and out for lunch. Smalltown diners and even an historic mill make the trip on the dirt roads even more quaint.

Wooded Hills & Picturesque Farms
A drive through forested roads takes you to some of the most photographed farmlands in the area. One farm on Mickle Hill has been featured in Country Magazine, and, when you see it, you will know why.
